• On what days do you hold events?
Weddings are offered on Saturdays only, and we choose to host only one wedding per weekend. This means that couples needn’t feel rushed or stressed on their wedding day - we allow early access the night before for rehearsal and/or decorating, and invite couples to return on Sunday morning if desired for extra take-down time.
• How many guests can Kingsheart Farm accommodate?
The barn can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 150 guests including bridal party for a seated dinner, with buffet, dance floor and bar areas.
• What facilities does Kingsheart Farm provide?
We are a seasonal venue operating May through October. Your rental includes use of the barn, outdoor ceremony site, gardens and grounds, bridal dressing suite in the farmhouse, groomsmen’s quarters in the stables, a catering staging area, and high-end mobile restroom facilities. Tables and chairs are provided. We have many vintage and rustic décor items available for your use at a small charge. The barn is spacious and airy, but not equipped with heat or air conditioning. Barn windows and doors may be opened for natural cooling in summer. When the evenings are cooler, remind your guests to bring a wrap. Onsite parking for up to 75 cars, shuttle bus drop-off area available.
• Can I have my wedding ceremony at Kingsheart Farm?
Yes. Outdoor wedding ceremonies usually take place at the dooryard arbor. If you wish to rent a tent (at your expense) in case of inclement weather the day of your wedding, you may arrange to have a tent erected over the lawn. A small fee may apply.
• Do you have an area for the bridal party to change?
Yes, Kingsheart Farm offers two separate get-ready areas for the exclusive pre-ceremony comfort of our couples and their wedding parties on the day. We open the 1862 fieldstone farmhouse, replete with Victorian antiques, equestrian appointments, and a spacious 3-room bridal dressing suite. A separate dressing area and lounge is available for the gentlemen in the stables - featuring secure lockers, a private changing room, and a lounge area with high-end leather furniture and whiskey barrel pub tables.
• How many hours will I have for my reception / event?
For your Saturday event, you may have up to twelve hours on the day (usually 4 hour set up, 7 hour event time, 1 hour breakdown), ending by 11:00 pm. Music ends at 10:00 pm sharp - no exceptions. A rehearsal and early set-up (2 hours) may be scheduled for the night before, and additional take-down time (2 hours) on the Sunday morning after is available.
• May I use any caterer I choose?
Yes! While we can recommend some amazing caterers for your consideration, your may opt to use the caterer of your choice. We do require that any onsite food preparation is done by a caterer with a valid food service license and insurance, and that your choice of caterer is pre-approved by the venue prior to catering your event. Caterers will enjoy no-charge use of the venue’s indoor Catering Staging Area which includes refrigerator, chest freezer and prep tables.
• May I serve alcoholic beverages at my event?
Yes. As a private event venue, Kingsheart Farm is not licensed to sell liquor, so you wish to serve alcoholic beverages (including beer, wine, hard cider, hard lemonade, champagne, signature cocktails) at your event, you must select a licensed and insured bartending company from Kingsheart Farm's list of Preferred vendors. Shots/jello shots/straight alcohol drinks are prohibited. All alcoholic beverages are to be served for on-premise consumption only.
• How can I schedule a tour to see Kingsheart Farm?
Reservations are required for individual and group tours. Contact us and we will be happy to accommodate your request.
• How do I reserve Kingsheart Farm for my wedding?
Contact us via website, phone or email to check available dates and request a proposal. The facility can be reserved with a signed contract and payment of the deposit fee. This can be done electronically from your tablet or smart phone via our website, or in person, by phone or via email.
• Does Kingsheart Farm offer actual horses?
Yes, for photo ops only (not for riding.) Our horses are beautiful and add a wonderfully unexpected surprise for your guests who visit them at the paddock fenceline. We set out a pail of horse treats on wedding day, and guests enjoy feeding carrots and peppermint treats to the friendly equines.

Here is a partial listing of our policies related to venue rental for your special event. For a full list of policies, terms and conditions, please contact us.
•Events. Kingsheart Farm hosts private events only.
•Tours, Planning Meetings. Tours and wedding planning meetings are available by appointment.
•Access to Facility. Access to the barn and grounds is granted at 11:00 am on the day of your event. All guests must vacate premises no later than 11:00 pm, and all personal belongings, including decorations must be removed by that time. Access to the farmhouse is granted at 11:30 am on the day, is restricted to the bridal party, and ends at ceremony start time or 3:30 pm (whichever comes first) which time all bridal party belongings must be removed as the house will be locked.
•Candles and Flames. Open flames are not permitted in the barn structure, but flameless candles may be used. Guest smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas only.
•Decorating: Because of the authenticity and historic significance of the barn, when decorating, it is not permitted to pound nails or staples into walls or beams.
•Occupancy: Maximum occupancy of barn upper level is 150 persons.
•Parking: The use of shuttle buses from local hotels and/or park-and-ride is encouraged. Limited on-site vehicle parking is available -- up to a maximum of 75 vehicles. No street parking is allowed on Bittersweet Circle, South Townline Road, South 18th Avenue, or Mayfield Road.
•Vendor Arrangements: All vendors must be licensed and insured and pre-approved by the venue. All vendors must coordinate delivery/set-up times with venue owners in advance of the event date. All vendors must drive their vehicles onto the property for loading, unloading, parking.
•Music: DJ’s providing reception/dance music must be pre-approved by the venue. DJ's must set up and operate all equipment inside the barn (except as required for music and microphones at the outdoor ceremony). Venue owners reserve the right to limit music volume in the interest of good neighborhood relations, and have the option to close windows and/or doors after 9 pm to attenuate sound travel. Music end is at 10:00 pm with no exceptions. If your DJ requires more than 1 hour to tear down and pack up, your event may need to end earlier as the premises must be vacated by 11:00 pm.
•Beverages. If alcoholic beverages will be served, renters must hire a licensed and insured bartending company from Kingsheart Farm's list of Preferred Vendors, and all alcoholic beverages must be served for consumption on premises by the licensed and insured bartender. Straight alcohol drinks/shots/jello shots are strictly prohibited.
•Special Event Insurance: Renters are required to show proof that event Insurance has been purchased from an insurance provider on Kingsheart Farm's Preferred Vendor list, with appropriate coverage as specified by the venue.
•Security Deposit: A security deposit is required and will be refunded in full provided that all policies have been followed, no damage has occurred to facility or furnishings, and departure by renters and guests is on-time.
